Faberge eggs - a synonym for luxury
Faberge was a court jeweler for the last two Russian rulers, Tsar
Alexander III . and Nicholas II , and these precious eggs were their specialty.
The story began when the Russian Emperor Alexander III .
donated an Easter egg for his wife Mary Fedorovnoj . This first Faberge egg has
been preserved until today. The Empress was so much delighted , that she began to produce every year at least one new egg .
From the first egg with brand chicken was drafted in the yeaer 1885 , Faberge made a total of 54 eggs within 37 years of the Romanov
dynasty .
Of the total number of the eggs left ,47 of them was exhibited in many parts of the world , and were kept in
museums and collections of art collectors .
Most of them are still located in the
rich collection of Russian Viktor Vekselberg , and in the Moscow Kremlin museum
. Faberge 's eggs, except for those " blue blood " , was prepared,
and made to order for some of the eminent families and individuals .
Each Faberge egg has its own name , for example: a swan,
